Random Things

Spring is slowly emerging, our tulips have begun to break through the garden dirt and we are anxious to see what blooms. I have no recollection of what we planted as far as colors go, so it's a nice surprise. Spring showers are definitely in effect here, things are pretty soggy. But when the sun shines it is so much stronger than a couple months ago!

We got a flyer in our monthly town information paper regarding the bird flu, it was found in a swan the next town over. All that really means to us right now is our dogs have to stay on leashes and we can't go feed the ducks. All cats are supposed to be inside also, but so far I have seen quite a few still wandering around. I can't imagine people could even catch all the cats that roam the streets here, but apparently you can be fined if you don't follow the rules.

Jacob and I went to the Aquella in Ansbach this week, it is another indoor swimming pool. It's nice, Jacob had a great time. All the indoor pools around here are great, each one has something special about it that we like. This one had a really fun slide that Jacob and I went down about 5 times, and a wave pool.

We have really been having a great time at church with our women's group. We had a luau that was so fun, and an appreciation luncheon this week that was really nice. Just a little more than a month and then the new board takes over, so we are trying to enjoy the last bit of time we have. Next year I will be on the board again, but in a position that won't be quite so involved. It will be nice to serve with a different group of ladies and see what they want to do with the year ahead of them.

That's about all for now, today is house cleaning day and I'm not really getting too much done sitting here in front of the computer!
